Compounding is the method of preparing medication from pure powder to meet the unique needs of prescribers and patients. The biggest advantage of compounding is that it can meet the special needs or conditions of the patient. MEDICATION RETURN DISPOSAL

Committed to Safety

If you look in your medicine cabinet, chances are you’ll find medications that are expired or that you no longer need. Those tablets you bought just in case you got sick on a trip, the leftover cough syrup, pain medications you didn’t use up, and those old birth control pills. Don’t flush them. Don’t pour them down the sink. Don’t throw them in the garbage. Taking any of these actions can put your family, pets, other people, and the environment at risk.

Expired and unused medications can pose a significant health, safety, and environmental hazard when improperly stored or disposed of.  Columbia Street Pharmacy provides a Medications Return Program that allows the public to return (at no charge) unused or expired medications for proper disposal.

Responsibly return unused and expired prescription drugs, over the counter medications and natural health products. Do your part in protecting the environment. It’s easy and free.
